Living Carbon

Living Carbon PBC restores abandoned mineland and degraded farmland with native species, generating annual income for landowners and carbon removal for corporate buyers. It develops photosynthesis-enhanced poplar trees and offers custom-grown biomass feedstock from fast-growing poplar sited near partner facilities. It raised a USD 21 million Series A in January 2023 with Temasek among the investors. In April 2026 it announced a carbon removal agreement with Octopus Energy Generation.
