    ForestX makes its sawmill planner callable by outside agents

    The build is an interface layer: Optinex functions and data exposed as individually callable skills over Model Context Protocol, the open standard that lets an assistant invoke software directly. An agent can chain them, so a delivery-date lookup and a substitute-product query resolve in one request instead of two screens. ForestX says any assistant speaking the protocol qualifies, SAP's Joule included. No release date, no named customer, no independent confirmation.

    ForestX Acquires LogStack Timber Measurement Technology

    Sweden-based ForestX has acquired full ownership of the LogStack suite of timber measurement products. LogStack includes smartphone-based log pile measurement and GPS-integrated scanning, measuring over 2.5 million cubic meters of timber annually across Denmark, Germany, Hungary, and Poland.
